Gaviscon Peppermint Advance Liquid has been developed to address gastro-oesophageal reflux. This includes acid regurgitation, heartburn & indigestion that can happen after eating or during pregnancy, & in those with oesophagitis. It belongs to a family of medicines known as reflux suppressants, forming a protective coating on the stomach contents to stop stomach acid from entering the oesophagus (food pipe), which causes pain & distress. Unlike other products, Gaviscon Advance works physically & doesn't enter the bloodstream, making it suitable for pregnant women.
